    The Mission

    We’re looking for skilled, passionate and curious individuals who want to have an impact on the way we work.  We are seeking a Business Intelligence Technical Lead who can work across a range of technologies and interact with stakeholders and partners across the company. The perfect candidate can apply a breadth of knowledge, extensive technical skills, and strategic thinking to build business intelligence systems that people across the enterprise rely on to make important operational and strategy decisions.  Our goal is to provide essential information and insights that are unavailable through other means to help our partners be successful in their various businesses, particularly casinos and racing.

    The Business Intelligence Technical Lead will leverage their expertise in guiding other team members through the most demanding business and technical challenges and drive the evolution of the data warehouse and enterprise analytics platform.  This person will provide technical expertise and oversight to other team members, align the technology with business goals and needs, and drive development and operational excellence for the team.  You will use Microsoft SQL Server and MicroStrategy to solve our company’s most significant data challenges and accomplish key strategic business initiatives.  We’re looking for effective communicators that like to work in an agile and collaborative team environment.  You’ll have the opportunity to do hands-on development, mentor team members, have direct access to customers, and have a significant influence on the business.

    What We Do

    We design, implement and maintain our data warehouse and reporting systems.  This year we’re focusing on providing insights that have a significant influence on our casino business, scaling the team, and improving our infrastructure, tools, and processes.

    •      Work with the major stakeholders to understand their top challenges and identify ways to solve them.

    •      Collaborate within our team to build systems and process on which the business relies.

    •      Use SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL, and C# to extract, transform, and load data from a variety of different systems.

    •      Develop solutions in MicroStrategy for both enterprise reporting and to enable self-service.

    Legal: Compliance Officer
    Chief Compliance Officer - Churchill Downs Incorporated (Louisville, KY)

We are a leader in brick-and-mortar casino gaming with gaming operations in eight states.     The CDI legal department is looking for an experienced compliance officer responsible for overseeing and managing compliance across the company and ensuring that the company and its employees are complying with internal policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. The Chief Compliance Officer will support and report to the Senior Vice President and General Counsel. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and can take on additional legal and regulatory responsibilities as needed.

    SKILLS REQUIRED include the following:

    Attention to detail and accuracy; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously; and ability to work across departments. Ability to establish credibility and be decisive. Must have a proven track record of managing compliance across multiple properties.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following:

    A. Develops, maintains, manages and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of CDI’s compliance program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.

    B. Serves as CDI’s Anti-Money Laundering Officer, including oversight of the company-wide anti-money laundering program as well as the property-specific anti-money laundering programs.

    C. Knowledge and experience with PCI compliance, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct in connection therewith.

    D. Develops and periodically reviews and updates standards of conduct, including CDI’s code of conduct and related anonymous hotline, to ensure continuing currency and relevance in providing guidance to management and employees.

    E. Collaborates with other departments (e.g., risk management, internal audit, human resources, etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.

    F. Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures and develops and oversees a system for uniform handling of such violations.

    G. Monitors the performance of the compliance program and coordinates compliance activities of other departments and business units to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends, risks, areas of improvement and corrective action plans.

    H. Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the senior management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.

    I. Ensures proper reporting to relevant agencies as appropriate and/or required.

    J. Works with the human resources department and others as appropriate to develop an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers.

    K. Manages other legal matters and projects as directed by Senior Vice President and General Counsel.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Dotted-line supervisory responsibility with property compliance functions.

    DESIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    A Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university and at least six (6) years of compliance and legal experience with a well-regarded law firm and/or in-house at a gaming or public company. Prefer Chief Compliance Officer or Deputy Chief Compliance officer experience. Must be licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, eligible for reciprocity or otherwise eligible to obtain a limited certificate of admission to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky solely for the Company under Kentucky Supreme Court Rule 2.111 – or eligible for reciprocity admission.

    Summary

    The IT Help Desk Analyst works on a team of first and second tier responders to provide customer support, troubleshooting, and solutions for all PC-related (hardware and software) and employee-facing technical incidents and requests. This position requires excellent communication skills and a very strong, well-rounded corporate technical support background.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for assisting end users with questions about supported software and computing platforms

    Position Summary –

    The Vice President, Business Security is a key member of Churchill Down’s information technology group and plays a key role in the overall success of our business operations.  This individual has responsibility for all information technology security components across our casinos, racetracks, TwinSpires.com, and other corporate businesses.  The InfoSec team sets strategies, policies and procedures; monitors our security posture; and works closely with other information technology team members to implement best security practices. This position reports directly to the CTO.

    Responsibilities –

    • Develop and implement the strategy and underlying tactics to maintain and enhance CDI’s security posture, minimize the risks of cyber-attacks, and protect key CDI assets and operations.
    • Keep up-to-date on the latest security trends and threats to respond accordingly.
    • Inform and coach CDI’s executive management and Board of Directors on key security topics.
    • Lead the effort to respond to security events.
    • Ownership for CDI’s PCI compliance activities.
    • Conducting a continuous assessment of current information technology security practices and systems and identifying areas for improvement.
    • Running security audits and risk assessments.
    • Delivering new security technology approaches and implementing next generation solutions.
    • Overseeing the management of the IT security department, giving leadership to the team and developing staff.
    • Select and manage relationships with security providers (hardware, software, and services).
