    Assistant Casino Shift Manager - Harlows Casino Resort and Spa (Greenville, MS)

     ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain banks and table limits for each game; Evaluate dealers’ performance and prepare written performance evaluations; Explain and interpret house rules, such as game rules and betting limits for guests; Monitor and verify the counting and distribution of currency and chips; Monitor games operations to ensure that house rules are followed and that employees provide prompt and courteous service; Observe guests’ behavior for signs of cheating such as marking, switching or counting of cards; Notify Table Games Manager if any of these behaviors are noticed; Supervise the distribution of complimentary meals, hotel rooms, etc. given to guests based on play.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Supervises dealers and Floor Persons

    QUALIFICATIONS: Must have the ability to obtain a Work Permit issued by the Mississippi Gaming Commission; Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service; To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent; 5+ years experience in table games with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.

    MATHMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of current duties.

    REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables

    Responsible for Casino accounting; Safeguards casino assets by developing appropriate procedures of internal controls and maintaining compliance with Federal and other regulatory laws.

    ·         Responsible for all casino accounting and financial reports – including, but not limited to weekly revenue reports, promotional recaps, budget variances and budgets. 

    ·         Presents month financial reports to the GM.

    ·         Supervise the preparation of and performs initial review and analysis of required financial statements. 

    ·         Prepares, in concert with the General Manager and departmental managers, annual budget and performs initial review before presentation to Board of Directors;

    ·         Supervises the casino accountant and vault manager. 

    ·         Plans, organizes and directs the activities of area under his/her supervision including budgeting and financial planning.

    ·         Along with department managers, will develop and monitor internal control procedures as necessary to maintain compliance with minimum internal control standards as established by the company to ensure that the company’s assets are adequately safeguarded.

    ·         Assists external and regulatory auditors during their work to ensure quarterly reviews and annual audits are completed.

    ·         Perform other duties as necessary.

    Responsible for auditing the EKB (Key Watchman Electronic Key Box) reports and all keys that are ordered for the EKB will be received by the Senior Director of Finance.

    BS in Accounting and at least 10 years’ experience in Casino Accounting management.

    Summary: Experienced dealers will be responsible for dealing all games professionally, accurately, and according to policies and procedures. Take losing bets and pay winning bets according to established rules and procedures. Deal the games in a high volume, fast paced and customer orientated gaming facility. Deal all games including Blackjack, Craps, and Roulette.Respond to all guests questions, concerns, comments and behaviors in a polite, respectful and patient manner at all times.     6. Complete paperwork for termed team member’s (discharged or resigned)
    7. Complete paperwork for Mississippi Department of Employment (Team Member’s Unemployment) Represents Company on hearings and appeals.
    8. Input and manage background for new hires.
    9. HR Weekly Report
    10. Maintain Job Descriptions and Organization Charts/internally and gaming
    11. HR Metrics Monthly & Quarterly Reporting/ Retention Report
