SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the FOH operation, including breakdown, set up, and guest service.  To insure that each guest has a pleasant experience and that service standards are followed by service staff.  Responsible for growth and development of team members.   

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

Participates in the Interview process, hire, train, and orient new server team member to their job.

Responsible for assuring the function quality is set up to specs, quality product and execution.

Evaluates and oversee job performance and provide feedback to Banquet Manager.

Conducts group and individual training as to Policies and Procedures, equipment, and area set up.

Executes BEO’s in accordance with Policy and Procedures for the department

Creates, Finalizes and collects guest billing in accordance with Policy and Procedures for the department

Meets labor objectives while achieving guest satisfaction.

Orders supplies and maintains par stock and inventory control.

Understands and follows all Policies and Procedures dictated by the administration and suggest and initiate necessary changes and improvements.

Acts in relation to team members, guests, and/or the general public in a manner consistent with the best interests of the restaurant.

Insures team member safety by providing a clean, safe, healthy environment.

Must be an expert on guest satisfaction and guest recovery.

Responsible for the cleanliness of entire facility.

Must follow Missouri Gaming Rules and Regulations.

Must be able to efficiently use the Point of Sale and back office computer system.

Ability to organize and prioritize work, and meet deadlines

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Educational or formal training

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Two (2) to five (5) years’ experience in food service with a minimum of one (1) year in supervision or banquet captain experience in a high quality, high volume organization. Complete understanding of labor costs and scheduling. Able to read and write English sufficiently to communicate with co-workers and supervisors. Able to work varied shifts and hours.  Must be able to successfully complete TIPS, Serve Safe and any other necessary courses offered.

Complete understanding of a catering convention operation.

Other education, experience, skills, etc.:

Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of current duties. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation. The position requirements are to function in the role of a Floor Supervisor and Dealer.   As Supervisor - must oversee gaming operations and personnel in an assigned area.  Circulate among tables and observe operations; May explain and interpret operation rules of house to guests when acting as Dual Rate Supervisor. Performs normal floor duties when acting as Floor Person.   As Dealer - Position is required to stand behind gaming table for allotted number of hours and operate the craps game.
