    As an Assistant Security Shift Supervisor you will be responsible for maintaining security over the entire facility during an assigned shift. Additional duties may include; preparing guest accident reports and security incident reports, escorting coin and cash as well as collecting and transporting drop boxes to the storage area.     Shuttlebus Driver - Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots (New Orleans, LA)

    As a Shuttle Bus Driver you will provide safe and comfortable transportation for guests and employees from point A to point B as assigned. You will guard, patrol or monitor premises to prevent theft, violence or infraction of rules. The Driver will transport guests and employees from the parking area and administration building to the casino; keeping to time schedules and route assignments. This position will complete a daily maintenance checklist in regard to brakes, windshield wipers etc., and notify supervisor of any deficiencies so they may be corrected. The Driver will keep interior of the shuttle clean and free of debris; perform other duties as assigned, including performing duties as security officer when not on shuttle detail. The position requires candidate to obtain a state Gaming Work Permit issued by the perspective Gaming Division. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service needed. A high school diploma or equivalent experience in security is preferred.

    Job Summary - The Sous Chef contributes to the success of the kitchen, concessions and other eateries through the direction and guidance of the Executive Chef to ensure a positive guest experience and company profitability.

     

    Essential Functions

    Include, but are not limited to:

    • Responsibility is to direct the operation of the kitchen, attain objectives and highest standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, and safety.

    • Exhibit good knowledge of food cost.

    • Ensure food items are prepared according to company standards of quality and within specified time lines.

    • Maintain food storage, receiving, rotating and stocking.

    • Assists Chef in monitoring food costs, ordering and maintaining overall cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment, overtime, staff motivation and training of new employees.

    • Supervise kitchen personnel under the direction of the Executive Chef.

    • The Executive Sous Chef is responsible for all kitchen staff in the absence of the Executive Chef

    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Responsible to implement and enforce all policies and procedures set forth by company, Executive Chef, and Director Food & Beverage
    • Able to communicate with all employees effectively, creating a team and open door environment
    • Must maintain all sanitary and food safety requirements, insuring all staff is properly trained

    Education and / or Experience

    High school diploma or equivalent; Minimum of 3 years (or greater) of experience cooking in a high volume fast pace environment with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

     Licenses/ Certificates

    Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to obtain a Racing License from Louisiana Racing Commission.  Must have successfully completed and maintain certification in “Serv-Safe”(Food Sanitation Management).

    Skills and Knowledge

    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation.

    • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies or members of the staff.

    • Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner.
