Camera man - Fair Grounds Race Course and Slots (New Orleans, LA)

Setup and operate television cameras on a daily basis for Fair Ground’s live and taped simulcast production.  In addition to camera operation, this position will assist in changing televisions  displays on the Fair Grounds property.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate television camera equipment in both studio and ENG configurations.
  • Understand what is needed to work in a live television environment.
  • Climb 50 foot towers multiple times during a shift.
  • Maintain consistency of established look of the production.
  • Execute commands of the Technical Director of the production.
  • Communicate technical or facility issues to your manager and/or Director.
  • Follow established safety guidelines for tower and roof locations.
  • Secure camera location and equipment following live production.
  • Other duties as assigned.

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

  • Strong communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism with the ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Work to be completed as directed in timely manner and with efficiency.
