    IT Technician - Churchill Downs Race Track (Louisville, KY)

    Position Summary

    IT Technicians at Churchill Downs Race Track are responsible for executing the daily functions of the IT department and meeting the needs of end users on the property.  They work collaboratively with the enterprise IT team to ensure that security guidelines and operational standards are met. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations, future expansion potential, reliability, and accessibly of computer system resources.  Work includes, but is not limited to, back office systems, front of house systems, telecommunications, and networking.

    Essential Job Functions

    1. Work closely with the Director of IT to ensure that prioritized tasks and ticket-based requests are being completed on-time.

    2. Troubleshoot reported issues in systems ranging from analog and IP-based phones and virtualized server environments to Point-of-Sale systems and ticketing systems:

    • Phone System Support:
      • Analog phone troubleshooting and line repair
      • IP Phone troubleshooting and configuration
      • Cisco Call-manager (CUCM)
      • Cisco Voicemail System (CUC)
      • Cisco Contact Center Express (CUCCX)
    • PC & Cell Phone Hardware troubleshooting
    • Application Support:
      • Microsoft Office

      • Symantec Anti-Virus
      • Hard Drive encryption

    Job Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Must have a minimum of five years’ experience in IT systems or network/server administration.
    • Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers and licensing within assigned state of employment
    • Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid racing and/or gaming commission license within the assigned state of employment
    • Available to work a schedule that aligns with the racing calendar including approximately 32 Saturdays, Sundays, and nights over the course of a calendar year.
    • Must successfully pass background check
    • Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
    • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age

    Maintenance - Churchill Downs Racetrack (Louisville, KY)

    JOB TITLE: Maintenance Person

    DEPARTMENT: Frontside Maintenance – Churchill Downs Racetrack

    JOB/FLSA STATUS: Full-Time, Hourly

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Frontside Maintenance Dept. at Churchill Downs Racetrack has an immediate opening for a maintenance person to perform a variety of maintenance functions and to perform other related duties, as assigned.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    ·         Must have a minimum of (5) five years of proven experience involving maintenance trades including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, electrical and other basic maintenance skills.

    ·         Must have a minimum or (1) one year of proven experience in commercial facility maintenance, per the above.

    ·         Have above average computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and is a plus if familiar with either Adobe Photoshop or Corel Draw graphics programs.

    ·         Must be able to operate maintenance equipment such as forklift, two-man lift, sweeper truck and various power tools.

    ·         High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. Additional education or training such as trade vocational school in maintenance subjects and certificates and other training records are a plus.

    ·         Must possess a valid driver’s license.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    ·         The ability to regularly lift and/or move a minimum of ten (10) pounds, frequently lift and/or move twenty five (25) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move fifty (50) pounds.

    ·         The ability to remain in a stationary position, move, traverse ascend /descend, position self to move, manipulate tools and equipment, and repetitively operate, use, inspect, place, detect, and position required equipment, resources, or machinery.

    ·         Must have detect, determine, perceive recognize, judge, inspect, estimate and assess various working situations. 

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    ·         While performing essential functions of this job, the employee is constantly exposed to outside weather conditions.

    ·         Working hours will vary at all times of the week and day depending on schedules. Holidays and weekend work schedules are common.

     

    REQUIRED

    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
    • Valid Driver’s License.
    • Must submit successfully to a DMV and background check. 
    • Required to become a member of Local Union No. 576, AFL-CIO
    • Flexibility to work weekends on a rotating basis.

    Seasonal Ticket Sales Attendant - Churchill Downs Racetrack (Louisville, KY)

    The Churchill Downs Racetrack Ticketing Department has an opening for a seasonal Ticket Sales Attendant. This position will report to the Box Office Manager and is responsible for assisting in the fulfillment of gate admissions and ticket selling needs.

    Positions are available for:

    • 2017 Race Season: September, and November.

    Job Duties would include:

    • Serve as a box office team member, assisting all walk up sales at the gates and box office window.

    • Serve as an admissions gate team member by assisting all patrons that enter the facility and reviewing the status of scanned tickets as necessary.

    • Assist in the fulfillment of ticket requests and will call by verifying the accuracy of ticket orders.

    • Accepts payments and makes change accurately.

    • Keep daily balance sheet of cash received and tickets sold; submit cash to Box Office Manager for audit.

    • Work to ensure customer's needs are fulfilled and ensure the customer receives outstanding service while assisting with general venue and event information.

    • This position will require some standing during shifts at gates.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Education / Skills Required:

    Job Description 

    Churchill Downs Racetrack seeks a passionate and highly motivated Partnership Activation Seasonal employee who reports to the Partnership Activation Management team. The seasonal employee is responsible for the activation and fulfillment of contracts negotiated by the Partnership Development team. Other duties include: 

    1. Assisting in the execution of sponsor promotions and activation, primarily as related to Kentucky Derby Week. 

    2. Serving as liaison between external partners, such as vendors and contractors, and internal departments, including but not limited to: Marketing, Operations, Ticketing, Events, etc.to fulfill contractual obligations. 

    3. Providing support and assistance to colleagues on the Partnership Activation Team in executing similar tasks. 

    4. Compiling post event review and recap materials. 

    5. Conducting administrative tasks. 

    6. Performing other duties as assigned. 

    Sales Development 

    1. Collaborating and assisting the Sponsorship Sales team as requested.

    Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities 

    Required
