    Finance: Financial/Data Analyst
    BI Analyst - Calder Casino (Miami Gardens, FL)

    FUNCTION Generates insightful analysis detailing performance and uncovering areas for opportunity and develop predictive models with the goal of improving overall operating efficiencies and results across all areas of our casino operations including labor management and staffing; loyalty and reinvestment programs; direct mail; food, beverage; and gaming operations.  Serve as primary resource for defining business requirements and building analytics for all casino-related business intelligence reporting and analysis

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Works closely with business and operational leaders driving analysis and reporting to support timely and accurate decision making.
    • Establishes a standard for Calder business intelligence data, reports and analysis.
    • Communicates requirements, priorities and standards to centralize BI team.
    • Applies statistical analysis for ad hoc projects to enable deep dives into casino data and customer insights.
    • Writes advanced SQL to translate arithmetic solutions/statistical models to implementable code.
    • Writes SQL for exploratory analysis and use visualization techniques to communicate insights and recommendations to the operations.
    • Serves as an advocate towards ensuring that the business intelligence and corporate team goals align with operational goals and needs.
    • Maintains strong and effective working relationships with casino constituents, centralize BI resources, as well as IT and Operations.

    EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

    • Experience with MicroStrategy is preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or related discipline such as Statistics, Applied Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, etc.
    • MBA Degree Preferred
    • 3-5 years’ experience with evidence of increase responsibility
    • At least 5 years of experience working in an analytical/research environment.
    • At least5 years of experience writing SQL for data analysis, including collecting, assembling, cleansing and formatting data.
    • Experience using descriptive and inferential statistics to analyze and present findings (R (preferred), SPSS, SAS, etc.)
    • Experience using visualization techniques for presenting data and analysis - knowledge of Microstrategy is a major plus.
    • Knowledge of casino operations strongly preferred.

    Cook I - Calder Casino and Race Course (Miami Gardens, FL)

    The Cook I is responsible for safely preparing food items, following menu specifications and standard recipes, for service to guests in all outlets.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    ·          Ability to operate kitchen equipment including slicer, steamer, deep fryer, ovens, broiler, grill, mixer, kettle, and griddles.

    ·          Requires reading and math skill for recipes and measurements.

    ·          Ability to read, write, speak and understand basic English in order to read recipes and communicate with other team members.
