The Concession Attendant will ensure consistent quality products, responsible for the preparation and sale of all food items per menu standards. 

  • Responsible for preparing and selling all food items on the menu and handling all cash transactions.

Track/Slot Operations: Maintenance
Facilities & Maintenance Generalist - Calder Casino & Race Course (Miami Gardens, FL)

Perform basic duties in several areas of Facilities and Maintenance services. These duties are wide ranging and require the ability to make decisions and perform work based on knowledge of the facility and past experience.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience with plumbing, carpentry, masonry, electrical, painting, and repair or maintenance of central heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Trained in hands-on equipment maintenance.
  • Maintains a safe work environment.
  • Ability to operate forklift.
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles (must have valid Florida Driver's License)
  • Able to operate computer to access work orders, update work orders, and respond to relevant e-mails as needed.
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks on a minute-by-minute basis and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to qualify for and maintain Gaming License.

Promotions/Special Events Supervisor - Calder Casino & Race Course (Miami Gardens, FL)

The Promotions/Special Events Supervisor will coordinate and supervise promotions, special events, concerts, trade shows, offsite community appearances and other marketing initiatives to build business and customer loyalty.
 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·          Coordinates all casino events including the planning, organizing, management and fulfillment within the facility to meet contractual obligations and the highest quality possible of guest service.

·          Assist Manager/Director with managing, directing and coordinating contractors and vendors as necessary to successfully accomplish the special events and promotions.

·          Oversee and supervise part-time Special Events team for venue set ups and breakdown, vendor deliveries and staff schedules.

·          Responsible for maintaining the Marketing department’s special events linens inventory and distribution.

·          Conduct drawings, giveaways and special events via microphone to large live audiences and via PA system to casino audience.

·          Update promotional rules for State and for review by Director of Casino Marketing within a timely manner.

·          Input data, collect and audit coupons and entry tickets to complete post-promotion results.

·          Prepare post event summaries to review success and ways for improvement.

·          Organize, track distribution and audit inventory monthly under review of Director of Casino Marketing.

·          Orders and distributes public and team promotional materials and calendars including online promotional calendars, excel calendars, competitive calendars and signage.

·          Assist Promotions Manager (as needed) with generating necessary material purchase and check requests, and support material to ensure all invoices are paid promptly.

·          Meet with the Food and Beverage department and the Marketing Department (when Manager of Promotions/Special Events is not available) to ensure all special events are being carried out properly.

·          Participates in and monitors events overall. Ensures objectives are being met.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

·          Provide information and explain Players Club benefits, property amenities & marketing programs to our guests.

·          Provide courteous service to our guests and be cordial to all Team Members.

·          Skilled with audio / video equipment.

·          Other duties as assigned.


STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

·          Must be able to work in a fast-pace environment on several promotions simultaneously.

·          Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed

·          College degree in Marketing, Business, or related field or equivalent experience is preferred.

·          Minimum of 2 years’ experience in creating and coordinating special events and/or promotions preferred.

·             Minimum of 1-2 years Casino and Supervisory experience preferred.

·             Proficient with computers and applicable software, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

·             Proficient with Casino operating systems including Aristocrat, Oasis and Super Playmate experience is a plus.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Repair and maintain slot related equipment on the casino floor.
  • Repair and maintain slot related equipment in the slot shop.
  • Participate in installation, movement, and removal of slot related equipment.
  • Maintain proper gaming logs in order to comply with state or internal regulations.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guest and employees.
