The Beverage Server is responsible for serving in an excellent and timely manner and to assure quality guest service and favorable gaming experience.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for taking orders from patrons and returning these orders in a timely manner.

    • Keep area in a clean and orderly manner.

    • Responsible to perform “responsible alcohol service” with regards to patron limitations and pass any/all responsible alcohol service training.

    • Be able to use all bar equipment, cash registers and Berg Beverage System.

Concession Attendant (Part-Time) - Calder Casino & Race Course (Miami Gardens, FL)

The Concession Attendant will ensure consistent quality products, responsible for the preparation and sale of all food items per menu standards.

  • Responsible for preparing and selling all food items on the menu and handling all cash transactions.
  • Responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of all food service equipment used to prepare and serve the menu items.
  • Must be able to operate all equipment in their work area.
  • Responsible for opening and closing inventories.

Track/Slot Operations: Chef/Cook
Cook II (Part-Time) - Calder Casino & Race Course (Miami Gardens, FL)

The Cook II is responsible for safely preparing food items, following menu specifications and standard recipes, for service to guest in all outlets.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment including slicer, steamer, deep fryer, ovens, broiler, grill, mixer, kettle, and griddles.
  • Requires reading and math skill for recipes and measurements.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand basic English in order to read receipts and communicate with other team members.
  • Actively participates with staff to cook, prepare, dish-up and assemble all outlets food.
  • Adheres to control procedure for food costs and quality.
  • To encourage and abide by all health codes and hand washing guidelines.
  • Prepares all food items according to standard recipes and menu to ensure consistency of product to the guest.
  • Be able to create compound sauces and derivatives of the mother sauces including the knowledge of Beurre Blancs.
  • Prepare written food requisition for supplies and food items for production in the work station.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

  • Abilities demonstrated in handling the banquets and food outlet effectiveness.
  • Be in constant communication with the Sous Chef.
  • Maintaining interpersonal working relationship among all personnel.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform all duties at a higher level of accuracy and speed

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to work the line in different locations ie saute, broiler, appetizer, panty, pasta, grill etc.
  • Must be able to complete any classes or certifications required.

 Must be available to work later shifts, starting at 4pm.

Sales Support Specialist - Calder Casino & Race Course (Miami Gardens, FL)

Contribute to the company’s success through sales of casino bus groups, event/function space, parking lot rentals, sponsorships, advertising sales and more.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·          Maintains and develops casino bus groups, as well as proactively solicits new sales opportunities including parking lot rentals, casino event space, and advertising sales.

·          Develops bus and group packages to remain competitive within the market.

·          Meets with bus charter groups and visits area communities to develop new leads and new route opportunities.

·          Meets and greets sales and bus groups upon arrival to casino property and collects player data for reporting.

·          Responsible for the coordination/supervision of all group sales functions/events including on-property group events and drive-in and regular bus groups.

·          Manages/develops business with key accounts, secures repeat business through telesales, e-mail and direct mail efforts and prospect for new business.

·          Provides venue/pricing information and conducts facility tours to current and potential clients.

·          Develops sales contracts and collects deposits and payments for events, and maintains the integrity of these programs to assure accuracy.

·          Develops and builds relationships with customers through excellent interpersonal skills and exception customer service.

·          Responsible for all coordination and administration support the each sales event and bus group.

·          Coordinates with other departments to ensure proper advance communications of upcoming sales group events and necessary support staffing.

·          Creates all month-end analysis relating to groups and bus profitability and counts.

·          Assists Sr. Director of Marketing in identifying community events for a sales presence including Chambers of Commerce.

·          Maintains high integrity standards while ensuring commitment to superior service and quality product.

·          Effectively meets individual and departmental sales goals and objectives.

·          Travel by car average 1-3 times per month within metro area to cultivate or generate sales and bus opportunities.

·          Ensure the safety and security of team members and guests.

·          Works as Marketing team member in assisting as additional requests arise.

·          Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

·          Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from a four year college or university; and two to three years experience in the hospitality industry with related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

·          Strong computer skills, MS Word, Excel and email are required.

The Slot Technician is responsible for repairing, maintaining and monitoring the operation of assigned electronic gaming devices.  Participates in movement of any slot related equipment.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Repair and maintain slot related equipment on the casino floor.
  • Repair and maintain slot related equipment in the slot shop.
  • Participate in installation, movement, and removal of slot related equipment.
  • Maintain proper gaming logs in order to comply with state or internal regulations.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guest and employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

  • Maintaining a professional working relationship among all personnel.
  • Knowledge of state gaming laws and regulations.
  • Fundamental oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, FBMS.

 EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Two years electronic degree is preferred or equivalent experience in electrical maintenance.
  • At least 6 months experience as a Slot Technician

Work 3-4 days a week, up to 20 hours per week.
