    Advertising & PR Manager - Calder Casino (Miami Gardens, FL)

    The Advertising & Public Relations Manager oversees all aspects of all internal and external Advertising, PR, and Social Media.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Advertising:

    • Work with our agency and internal design team to develop campaigns to effectively convey the Calder Casino brand.

    • Create email marketing campaigns to support promotions, events, new games, and special offers.

    • Copy writing for promotional materials, email blasts, and website content.

    • Evaluate and optimize the effectiveness of all marketing messages.

    • Plan, track, and approve changes to media budget as needed.

    • Liaise with printers and other vendors.

    Public Relations:

    • Produce press releases and communicate important casino announcements.

    • Foster strong relationships with local reporters.

    • Track media coverage and industry trends.

    • Create internal publications: newsletters, email announcements, videos, and special projects.

    • Work with the Human Resources team to increase employee engagement.

    Social Media:

    • Develop relevant and engaging written, photographic, and video content for our social platforms.

    • Foster dialogue to create interactive and responsive relationships with our guests.

    • Measure the effectiveness of our social efforts and provide monthly reports and strategies for optimization.

    STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE:

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills with knowledge and proficiency of AP style.
    • Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish proficiently is preferred.
    • High level of professionalism with the ability to react well under pressure.
    • Guest relations and customer service skills.

    EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, public relations, marketing, or similar required.
    • Two years of relevant work experience preferred.
    • Previous casino marketing experience is preferred.

    Beverage Server (Part-Time) - Calder Casino (Miami Gardens, FL)

    The Beverage Server is responsible for serving in an excellent and timely manner and to assure quality guest service and favorable gaming experience.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for taking orders from patrons and returning these orders in a timely manner.
    • Keep area in a clean and orderly manner.

    The Cook I is responsible for safely preparing food items, following menu specifications and standard recipes, for service to guests in all outlets.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    ·          Ability to operate kitchen equipment including slicer, steamer, deep fryer, ovens, broiler, grill, mixer, kettle, and griddles.

    ·          Requires reading and math skill for recipes and measurements.

    ·          Ability to read, write, speak and understand basic English in order to read recipes and communicate with other team members.

    ·    Actively participates with staff to cook, prepare, dish-up and assemble all outlets food.

    ·    Adheres to control procedure for food costs and quality.

    ·    To encourage and abide by all health codes and hand washing guidelines.

    ·    Prepares all food items according to standard recipes and menu to ensure consistency of product to the guest.

    ·    Be able to create compound sauces and derivatives of the mother sauces including the knowledge of Beurre Blancs.

    ·    Prepare written food requisition for supplies and food items for production in the work station – inventory.
