The Beverage Server is responsible for serving in an excellent and timely manner and to assure quality guest service and favorable gaming experience.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for taking orders from patrons and returning these orders in a timely manner.

    • Keep area in a clean and orderly manner.

Promotions/Special Events Supervisor - Calder Casino & Race Course (Miami Gardens, FL)

The Promotions/Special Events Supervisor will coordinate and supervise promotions, special events, concerts, trade shows, offsite community appearances and other marketing initiatives to build business and customer loyalty.

·          Prepare post event summaries to review success and ways for improvement.

·          Organize, track distribution and audit inventory monthly under review of Director of Casino Marketing.

·          Orders and distributes public and team promotional materials and calendars including online promotional calendars, excel calendars, competitive calendars and signage.

·          Assist Promotions Manager (as needed) with generating necessary material purchase and check requests, and support material to ensure all invoices are paid promptly.

·          Meet with the Food and Beverage department and the Marketing Department (when Manager of Promotions/Special Events is not available) to ensure all special events are being carried out properly.

·          Participates in and monitors events overall. Ensures objectives are being met.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

·          Provide information and explain Players Club benefits, property amenities & marketing programs to our guests.

·          Provide courteous service to our guests and be cordial to all Team Members.

  • Repair and maintain slot related equipment in the slot shop.
  • Participate in installation, movement, and removal of slot related equipment.
  • Maintain proper gaming logs in order to comply with state or internal regulations.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guest and employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

  • Maintaining a professional working relationship among all personnel.
  • Knowledge of state gaming laws and regulations.
  • Fundamental oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, FBMS.

 EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Two years electronic degree is preferred or equivalent experience in electrical maintenance.
  • At least 6 months experience as a Slot Technician

Work 3-4 days a week, up to 20 hours per week.
